Welcome Aboard!
Since launching in 1987, Copper Sky has made ocean passages the equivalent of three circumnavigations of the world.

Your Captain
Captain Russell Weisner has sailed as captain, engineer or mate on freighters, tugs and sailing vessels in the South Seas, Far East, North Pacific, and the North Atlantic. His dream of sharing his love for sailing, and for the Queen Charlotte Islands, became a reality with his completion of Copper Sky in 1987.

Your Crew
Copper Sky's crew meet or exceed Coast Guard requirements and standards regarding navigating, marine emergency duties and first aid.

Canadian staysail schooner
Copper Sky is the newest, largest, and only steel passenger ship of her class in Pacific Canada's sailing community. An immensely strong & seaworthy vessel, she has performed reliably without a day's mechanical delay during 18 years of sailing adventures..

Expert trip leaders
On many trips, we are accompanied by special guests with various expertise in the outdoors, including professional wildlife photographers, marine biologists, ecologists, or other naturalists.
