NATURE PHOTOGRAPHY TOUR

Inquire about a Nature Photography Tour for your group with David Blevins, an experienced workshop leader and professional nature photographer.

Workshop Content:
The content of a workshop is determined by the needs and interests of the participants.

Creating photographs from nature is a process that involves more than photographic technique. Knowledge of natural history and observation skills are needed to find subjects. Some of the essential elements needed to create a photograph are beyond the control of the photographer so an understanding of how to work with the opportunities nature provides is needed. An understanding of yourself and the ideas you are trying to convey in your images will improve the clarity of your message.

Do you have a question about the photo tour? Contact us, we'll be glad to help.

Cost: inquire about group charter rates.

Photo Tour Highlights:

Whale watching: The Queen Charlotte Islands is rich in wildlife and scenic opportunities. You will have an abundance of wildlife to photograph in this beautiful area, including birds, black bears, sea lions and deer. Landscapes range from rocky coast lines to old growth forests.

Photograph Historic Native American Totems
The Haida of the Queen Charlotte Islands developed a rich culture with intricate artwork. You will have wonderful subjects for your camera when we visit the Unesco world heritage site of Ninstints, an abandoned Haida village in Gwaii Haanas National Park Reserve. Other historic villages on our tour are Tanu and Cumshewa.
  • View Photos by wildlife photographer and grizzly bear guide John Marriott - Wilderness Prints

Haida Banquet (option): Experience a traditional Haida feast prepared by a renowned Haida chef, and your photography subjects can expand to include traditional foods of the Haida.
Requires additional $140 Cdn (approx) for B&B, banquet, picnic lunch, transportation.

We make two to three shore excursions for various activities each day. Our evenings are spent in safe & scenic anchorages that we rarely have to share with other vessels.
